Who we are

Longleaf Containers is a booking and coordination service operating in south Mississippi. We are not a container yard. Containers are owned, delivered, serviced and collected by insured independent local operators we contract with. We handle pricing, scheduling, and your money protection.

Pricing and term

Monthly rent plus a one-time delivery and pickup charge covering both directions. After the first month the rental is month to month. Tell us when you are finished and we will schedule collection; you pay only for months in which the container was on your site. Rates quoted online apply to standard deliveries inside our published service area.

Placement and property

The container is placed where you direct, on property you control. You are responsible for confirming you have the right to place it there, and for any HOA rules, permits, or municipal requirements that apply. Delivery needs firm, reasonably level ground and straight clearance — roughly 60 ft for a 20 ft container and 100 ft for a 40 ft, plus clear overhead. If the driver arrives and the site cannot safely take the container, a return trip may be charged.

What you can keep in it

General household goods, tools, equipment, materials and inventory. No hazardous or flammable materials, no fuels or chemicals, no explosives, no living things, no perishable food waste, and nothing illegal. Do not store anything you would be unable to replace — see insurance below.

Condition

Containers are used cargo units. They are wind and watertight and lockable. Expect surface rust, dents and cosmetic wear on the exterior. If a unit arrives not watertight, tell us and we will have it swapped.

Insurance and liability

Contents are not insured by us or by the delivering operator. Your homeowner, farm or commercial policy may cover stored contents — check before you load. Our liability, and that of the delivering operator, is limited to the rental charges paid.

Cancellation

Cancel before the container is dispatched at no charge. Once a truck has been dispatched for delivery or collection, the trip may be charged.
